We will spend the day building individual projects in the wood shop, I have several good projects for new woodworkers, giving you the opportunity to use a variety of hand tools, and experience the smell of freshly cut timber.

Obviously a good choice for a one day build is a box. Boxes involve several different skills to produce, and the most transferable skills. It also gives you something practical to take home!
If you’re more into your outdoor woodworking, and some DIY Then a good tried and tested saw horse is a fantastic one day build. Its fairly crude in its construction with nails and simple joinery, but the angles involved give a new challenge to overcome with each step.
